Cynthia Daugherty

Cynthia Harmon Daugherty, age 95, of Harrogate, TN, passed away on Monday, December 9, 2019 at the Tri-State Health and Rehab in Harrogate, TN. She was born April 2, 1924 in Knoxville, TN, to “Daddy” Collins and Mossie Cameron Collins.

She was a member of the New Fellowship Church of God in Maynardville, TN. She loved the outdoors where she farmed in her early life. She retired from Best Western Motor Lodge in Middlesboro, KY. She loved to spread the Lords word. After her retirement, she traveled to numerous churches, nursing homes, etc. sharing her love of God. She was also an avid Atlanta Braves baseball fan for many years. She never missed a game. She knew all about every player they had over the past thirty years.

She is preceded in death by her husband and father of her children, Robert Morris Harmon; daughter, Jimmie Smith Harmon; and sister, Peggy Gunn.

She is survived by her husband of 27 years, Tom Daugherty and family; son, Bobby (Libby) Harmon of Arthur, TN; grandson, Ricky (Beth) Smith of Greensport, AL; granddaughters, Debbie (Richard) Cowles of Dunnellon, Fl and Tonya Noah of Arthur, TN; great-grandchildren, Bailey Noah, Dylan Noah, Erin Smith, Richard Smith, Jerry Smith, Catlyn Bridges and Dominic Epperson; special niece, Gail (Eddie) Epperson and family, Jennifer Jones, Bradley Epperson, Brittany Epperson (Jake) Daniels; special sister-in-law, Lilly Josephine Eldridge; special friends, Sam Daugherty and Charles Eldridge; and a host other family and friends.

The family will receive friends from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. on Thursday, December 12, 2019 at the Creech Funeral Home Chapel. Funeral service will follow at 7:00 p.m. with Rev. Willis Daugherty officiating. Music will be provided by Marvin Gulley. Pallbearers will be Bailey Noah, Dylan Noah, Brian Alexander, Sam Daugherty, Bobby Pearman and Cade Rogers.

Graveside service will be held at 11:00 a.m., on Friday, December 13, 2019 at the Yoakum Cemetery in Speedwell, TN.
