Conley Wilburn, Sr.

Conley Wilburn Sr., went to be with the Lord on Thursday, July 21, 2022.  He was born November 4th, 1938, in Pruden, Tennessee; the son of the late Walter and Mary Partin Wilburn.

Conley was an avid hunter, bass player and told many great stories about his past.  He was also an exceptional carpenter and craftsman and built many houses in the community.  If you ever knew him, you would never forget him.

He was a member of Fonde Church of God, which he loved very much.  Conley was also a member of the Shawanee Masonic Lodge, #546 F&AM.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Walter and Mary Wilburn; Sarah Pearl Wilburn, his beloved wife; his son, Conley Wilburn, Jr.; brothers, Jack (Myrtle) Wilburn and Lawrence (Jane) Wilburn; and his sister, Ruth (Dewey) Lawson.

Conley is survived by his daughter, Cassie (Mike) Wilson of Jacksonville, North Carolina; grandchildren, Ashley and husband Ronnie Dorn of Jacksonville, North Carolina, Caleb Wilson and wife Kelsey of Killeen, Texas, Conley Wilburn, III (Trey) and Jennabeth Wilburn of Cumberland Gap, Tennessee; and great-grandson, Tucker Dorn of Jacksonville, North Carolina. He also leaves behind a host of nephews and nieces that he loved very much.

Funeral services will be held at 7:00 p.m., on Wednesday, July 27, 2022, at the Cawood Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Eddie Johnson presiding.

Music will be provided by Rev. Eddie Johnson and his Fonde Church Family.

Graveside services will be held at 11:00 a.m., on Thursday, July 28, at the Chumley Cemetery in Arthur, TN.

Masonic Rites will be given prior to the funeral service by the members of the Shawanee Masonic Lodge # 546 F & AM.

The family will receive friends from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m., on Wednesday, July 27, 2022, at the Cawood Funeral Home Chapel.
