Chester (Edwin) Partin, age 69, of Frakes, KY, passed away at his home on Monday, November 4, 2019. He was born in Whitley County, KY on September 21, 1950, the son of the late Rev. Neville and Sally Partin. He was a member of the Tracy Branch Missionary Baptist Church.
In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his brother, Charles Partin; sisters, Mary Jo Bostic, Betty Leake, Lucille Petrey and Martha Marie Gambrel.
He is survived by his loving wife, Gloria Hamblin Partin; sister, Ruth (Joe) Futrell; stepsons, Keith Lay and David (Bonnie) Lay; niece, Tina Futrell; nephews, Travis Futrell and Anthony Petrey; granddaughter, Haley Lay; grandson, Ryan Lay; brother-in-laws, Gary Gambrel, Thomas Bostic, Ernest Petrey, James Doyle Hamblin, Dewey Wayne Hamblin, Carl Austin Hamblin and Lynn Hamblin; sister-in-laws, Denise Gertie (Bob) Teague, Phyllis Potter and Debbie Rice; life-long close friends, Doug Fletcher and the Hurst Family (Jackie, Linda, Eddie and Patsy); and a host of other family and friends.
The family will receive friends from 12:00 noon until 1:30 p.m. on Wednesday, November 6, 2019 at the Tracy Branch Missionary Church. Funeral service will follow at 1:30 p.m. with Brother Doug Fletcher. Music will be provided by the Tracy Branch Missionary Church Choir. Pallbearers will be James Hickman, Ralph Stanaford, Gary Gambrel, Tim Hamblin, Stephen Potter and Denzel Hamblin. Interment will follow in the Hamblin Cemetery at Tracy Branch.
