Charles Upton

Charles Ray Upton, 73, of Middlesboro, KY, passed away Saturday, July 24, 2021 at the Middlesboro ARH.

He was born November 8, 1947 in Middlesboro, KY, the son of the late George and Mary Alice Upton.  In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brothers; William, Donald and Rufus Upton.  Sisters; Ruby, Nancy and Mary Ethel Upton.  A grandson: Brantley Upton.  He is survived by the following members of his family:

5 Children: Thelma (Frank) Meyers, Charles Lee Upton, Jennifer Nash, Jackie (William) Appleby and Maggie Poppe.

Brothers: Tom (Linda) Upton, J.C. (Irene) Upton and Ralph Upton.

Sisters: Thelma Huddleston and Ruth Upton.

15 Grandchildren, 3 Great Grandchildren and a host of nieces and nephews.

The Upton family wishes to express their sincerest gratitude to the ICU staff of the Middlesboro ARH.

A memorial service will be held at 7:00 p.m. Thursday at the Cawood Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Jack Welch presiding.

The family will receive friends from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m.. Thursday, July 29, at the Cawood Funeral Home.

Honorary pallbearers are Mitchell Partin, Adam Sloan and Paul Huddleston.
