Billie Norton

Billie Frank Norton Sr., age 81, residing in Middlesboro, KY, passed away peacefully on Friday, September 9, 2022. Billie was born on February 4, 1941 in Fonde, KY. He was of the Baptist faith, and he was also a proud veteran of the United States Navy. He loved the outdoors, and he was an avid fisherman who always had a good story to share. He was married to his true love, Ruby Norton, for 62 years, and he deeply loved their children and grandchildren.

Billie was preceded in death by his parents, Andy and Virgie Meyers Norton, parents-in-law Rev. Brad and Lillie Sparks, granddaughter Amanda Norton, siblings Bob Norton, Pat Burns, Andy Norton, and Betty Blackmon, niece Jan Phelps, nephews Randy Phelps and Calvin Capps, and siblings-in-law Fred and Blanche Phelps.

He is survived by his wife Ruby Norton, children Bill (Lori) Norton and Kimberly Norton, grandchildren Ashley (Kevin) LeBlanc and Evan Norton, siblings Kate (Hubert) Durham, James (Linda) Norton, Phyllis Martin, Francis Gibson, Peggy King, and Barbara Samaniego, sisters-in-law Peggy Capps, Mildred Norton, and Pauline Sparks, and a host of nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends on Tuesday, September 13, 2022 from 11:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. at the Cawood Funeral Home Chapel, Middlesboro, KY.  Funeral services will follow at 1:00 p.m. with Rev. Jeff Greene presiding.  Music will be provided by Rick and Tona Turner.  Graveside services will immediately follow at Green Hills Memorial Gardens Mausoleum, Middlesboro, KY.
