Ben Greene, Jr.

Ben Greene, Jr., age 83, a resident of Arthur, Tennessee, passed away peacefully on Saturday, April 3, 2021 at the Claiborne County Medical Center in Tazewell, Tennessee.

He was born on May 6, 1937 in Calvin, Kentucky to the late Ben and Martha Hendrickson Greene.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by six siblings: Clyde Greene, Herbert Greene, Fred Greene, Jim Henry Greene, Mary Rachel Hoskins and May Wilson.

He was of the Primitive Baptist faith.

He is survived by the following members of his family:

Wife of 65 years: Iva Jean Greene of Arthur, Tennessee

Children: Kay (Dennis) Miracle of Powell Valley, Tennessee, Kevin (Darlene) Greene of Harrogate, Tennessee and Troy Alan Greene of Powell Valley, Tennessee

Grandchildren: Jason (Ashley) Greene of Somerset, Kentucky, Melinda (Brandon) Teague of Somerset, Kentucky, Kelly (Lareina) Miracle of Knoxville, Tennessee, Kristy (Mike) Thompson of Powell Valley, Tennessee, Faith Greene of Powell Valley, Tennessee and Hope Greene of Morristown, Tennessee

13 great-grandchildren

And a host of many nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends.

At his request, he was cremated by the Cawood Funeral Home and the family will hold private services at a later date.
