Areitha Arnett

Mrs. Areitha Wilson Arnett gained her heavenly wings on Friday, October 29, 2021. Areitha was born on October 13, 1931 to the late Ernest (Red) Wilson and Mossie Pursiful Wilson. Areitha was a homemaker, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Elmer Eugene Arnett, son Bruce Arnett, and daughter Deborah Ann Arnett, sisters Jerri Thacker and Ginger Massingill.

She leaves behind to mourn her passing, daughter Anita (David) Hansard of Corryton, Tennessee, her sons Anthony (Cindy) Arnett of Middlesboro, Kentucky, and Dennis (Toni) Arnett of Louisville, Kentucky. She has 10 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren. Her brother Larry (Sheila) Wilson of Middlesboro, Kentucky.

The family of Mrs. Areitha Wilson Arnett will receive friends from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. on Monday, November 1, 2021, at the Cawood Funeral Home in Middlesboro, Kentucky.

Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Monday, November 1, 2021, at the Cawood Funeral Home chapel in Middlesboro, Kentucky with Pastor Randy Wilson presiding. She will be laid to rest following the funeral service at the Green Hills Memorial Gardens. Grandchildren and great-grandchildren will serve as pallbearers. Honorary pallbearers will be David Poore and Elder Steve Green.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Mrs. Arnett’s memory to the Cannon Creek Primitive Baptist Church, 2516 Forge Ridge Road, Harrogate, Tennessee 37752.

The family would like to send a special thank you to Christian Health Care Facility in Corbin, Kentucky for the care and compassion they showed their loved one during their time of need.
