Archie Johnston

Archie “Eddie” Edward Johnston, age 68, a resident of Tazewell, Tennessee, passed away on Sunday, March 1, 2020 at the Claiborne Medical Center in Tazewell, Tennessee.

He was born on March 4, 1951 in Middlesboro, Kentucky to the late Joe Lawrence Johnston and Lassie Johnson.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his son, Jonathan Johnston, and his brother, Jerry Johnston.

Archie was a member and trustee at Southside Baptist Church.

He is survived by the following members of his family:

4 Children: Shannon Johnston, Andrew Johnston, Ariana Johnston and Nathaniel Johnston

Grandchildren: Jonathan, Emily and Brayden

Brothers: Bob Johnston, Oneil Johnston, Mack Johnston, Bill Johnston and Wayne Johnston

Sisters: Sherry Maxwell, Joyce Schaub, Jan Miller, Jean Porter and Jawanna Jackson

And a host of nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.

The family of Archie “Eddie” Edward Johnston will receive friends from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Thursday, March 5, 2020 at the Creech Funeral Home chapel in Middlesboro, Kentucky. A funeral service will follow at 8:00 p.m. with Rev. John Gibbons presiding.

A graveside service for Archie “Eddie” Edward Johnston will be at 12:00 p.m. on Friday, March 6, 2020 at the Dunn Cemetery in London, Kentucky. Family and friends will gather at the cemetery. Pallbearers will be James David Johnston, Jeremiah Johnston, Jason Johnston, Jared Johnston, Joey Porter and Bardia Razzaghi.
