Alvis Barnett

Alvis Junior Barnett, 80, of Middlesboro, KY, passed away Tuesday, April 5, 2022, at this home, surrounded by his family.

He was born April 23, 1941 in Middlesboro, KY, the son of the late Walter “Wick” Barnett and Dora Owens Barnett.  In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by: 2 sons: Gary Barnett and Michael “Mikey” Fuson; Brothers: Bobby Barnett, Stacy Barnett, Ned Barnett and Donnie Barnett.  He is survived by the following members of his family:

Wife: Thelma Kathy Barnett

Children: Libby Barnett, Larry (Jessica) Barnett, Brittany (Robert) Lamb, Crystal (James) Lamb and John Fuson.

Grandchildren: Alicia Barnett, Seth Barnett, Miranda Barnett, Quinton Barnett, India (Joey) Coats and Breonica (Shawn) Gibson

Brothers: James Barnett, Ben Barnett, Luther Owens, Luster Owens and Jeff Owens

Sisters: Rosetta Ogle, Ida May Carmack, Mable Hatfield and Betty Mullins

He is also survived by a host of great grandchildren, nieces, nephews other relatives and friends.

Graveside services will be conducted at 1:00 p.m. Friday, April 8, 2022 at the Barnett Cemetery at Cannon Creek with Rev. David Fuson presiding.
